About Cuefolio

Built by a speaker who learned the hard way

Vanessa Johnson went from new Android engineer to international stages in less than a year. Cuefolio is the product she built so the next speaker does not have to figure it all out alone.

Vanessa Johnson

Android engineer · speaker · founder

Vanessa Johnson is an Android engineer who started speaking at international conferences within her first year full time.

Her first talk was KotlinConf 2025 in Denmark. That trip changed everything. Expenses were covered. She was sharing knowledge in areas she genuinely cared about, meeting people across the industry, building visibility early in her career and experiencing other cultures in a way that would never have been possible if she were paying her own way.

That first trip was all Vanessa needed to see that this path is real, as long as you can find the right opportunities.

Since KotlinConf, the acceptances kept coming. In 2025 she spoke in the Netherlands, Italy, and Paris.

2026 is already in motion: talks in Greece, Spain, and New York City.

Why Cuefolio exists

None of that happened by accident but none of it was easy to find either.

Which conferences are worth applying to? Which ones actually cover travel? Which CFPs close this week? How do you write a proposal that fits each event without starting from scratch every time?

Vanessa built Cuefolio because she lived those questions. It is the home base she wished she had when she was a new speaker trying to turn one great talk into a real speaking career without guessing, without spreadsheets, and without paying out of pocket to figure out what was possible.

Cuefolio does not guarantee acceptances. It makes the search, travel research, and application process less guesswork.
